I love to discover new recipes online for baking, dinner recipes, and other things. One drawback of using online recipes is that most recipe sites bombard us with ads. In some cases, the ads are so bad that you can’t follow the recipe, especially on the phone. I find this very annoying, don’t you?
I get it, though! Maintaining a website takes a lot of time and energy. Then there are costs for hosting, plugins, and other services that make it possible to have a successful website.
I know from experience that having ads on your site pays very, very little money, and I assume that many people figure that more ads are better.
I am privileged to be in a position where I don’t need to make money with my site. But I do need to recover the costs I have.

There must be a way to avoid plastering the site with ads and still make a little money.
Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing works like this:
I select items that I believe are a good option for you. Tools, ingredients and books that I stand behind 100%. I place links to these items on the website – mostly in the store and if you click on them you are led to the vendor’s website. If you decide to purchase with this link, I receive a small percentage while your price will stay the same.
Currently, I have affiliate links from these retailers on Sourdough.Guide:
